Match Report

Tottenham's first away game of the season ended in a satisfying one all draw. Spurs who usually come away from he north East with with nothing more then a pat on the back were in control of the game at the Riverside largely to the Performance of Darren Anderton and Sergei Rebrov, and although Tottenham took the lead, Middlesborough equaled the scores on the hour with Mark Summerbell heading in a similar goal to that of Oyvind Leonhardsen.

Middlesborough started the game with a bang as Joseph Desire Job had two chances stopped by Neil Sullivan. But after 15minutes, Spurs settled and started to control the game and took the lead after 31 minutes. Sergei Rebrov whipped in a ball from the right for Oyvind Leonhardsen to head home from over 8 yards out. And Spurs continued to pressure Boro', but in the second half, they hit back with Mark Summerbell heading home from a similar position to Oyvind Leonhardsen. Les Ferdinand had a goal ruled out for offside with 10minutes to go after he replaced Sergei Rebrov with 15 minutes to go!

Man of the Match

Darren Anderton seems to be returning to form of old with another good performance to ensure Spurs returned to London with something., He held the ball well and brought it forward well.

Goal of the match

Both the goals were fairly similar, but our goal was a bit more special and Oyvind Leonhardsen rounded off a superb move with the header!

Save of the Match

Neil Sullivan pulled of two good saves in the early moments of the first half to prevent Joseph Desire Job putting Boro' into the lead!
